About Me

As someone who is naturally curious and constantly on the hunt for new challenges, my life path has certainly not been linear. After graduating from Allegheny College in 2011 with a B.S. in Computer Science, I worked in industry as a software engineer and cyber security researcher for 10 years. Eventually, I decided to make the jump and try my hand at astronomy, joining a Physics PhD program at George Mason University (GMU) with little formal physics education. Now, 5 years later, I am a NSF Graduate Research Fellow, researching active galactic nuclei (AGN) and galaxy evolution with the Black Hole-Galaxy Connection Group at GMU.
